What We Collect

When you use Coffee Run, we collect:

• Account information: Email address, display name, username, and avatar when you sign up via email, Apple, or Google sign-in.
• Location data: Your device location (only when you grant permission) to show nearby coffee shops and calculate distances. We do not store your location history.
• Activity data: Stamps, reviews, coffee run lists, photos you upload, and shops you follow. This is the content you create in the app.
• Usage analytics: Anonymous usage data via Mixpanel (e.g., which features you use, how often you visit) to improve the app. This data does not include your personal information.
• Crash reports: Error reports via Sentry to fix bugs. These may include device type and OS version but not personal data.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Coffee Run service — showing nearby shops, saving your stamps and reviews, displaying your profile to other users.
• To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymous usage patterns.
• To fix crashes and bugs via error reports.
• To send you important service updates (we do not send marketing emails).

Third-Party Services

Coffee Run uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage. Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure (AWS, US region).
• Google Places API: Shop information, photos, and hours.
• Mixpanel: Anonymous product analytics.
• Sentry: Crash reporting and error tracking.
• Anthropic Claude: AI-powered shop description enrichment (processes shop data, not user data).

Photo Uploads

When you upload a photo of a coffee shop, it is stored in our cloud storage and may be visible to other users. Photos are reviewed by an automated moderation system. You can request removal of your photos at any time.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with the service providers listed above, solely to operate Coffee Run.

Your Rights

• Access: You can view all your data in the app (profile, stamps, reviews, lists).
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Delete Account. This is immediate and irreversible.
• Portability: Contact us to request an export of your data.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS, we ask for permission to use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) for analytics attribution. You can deny this request and the app works identically — the only difference is that our analytics will use an anonymous identifier instead.

Children

Coffee Run is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email.
